If you love the outdoors, you'll adore Squat Lake. There is a splendid hiking trail next to Squat Lake called the Maraboeuf Lake Portage, and why not camp at Gunflint Pines while you're here at Squat Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Sawbill Campground is a magnificent spot to camp; you'll find a lovely lake       called Honker Lake. At Squat Lake during the warm months highs are in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 10's, and night lows at Squat Lake throughout the wintertime frequently sink into the-10's. Get your heart pumping on the nice whitewater of Temperance River, and since you're here, you could also stop at pretty Rally Lake. The amount of rainfall that falls at Squat Lake is close to the national average; the                  month with most of the rain is August, and February on the other hand is the driest.
