Spring Lake is a nice lake to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Holstrum Spur Trail, and a great location for whitewater paddling is Little Fork River. During the warm months, highs mostly are in the 70's at Spring Lake. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 10's with temperatures at Spring Lake dipping down into the-10's all through winter nights. Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even

The Link Lake Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sturgeon River. There is plenty to do at the resort too. Swan Lake is known for its water clarity throughout the summer. Fishing is almost always good with a healthy supply of sunfish, crappies, northern and walleyes. Largemouth bass are definitely the most sought after fish the past few years with most of them released again after they are weighed and their picture is taken for our ''fishing report'' board.
