Not far from Spring Lake, you'll locate Wamp Lake which is a pretty lake; why not camp at Stony Brook Campground if you're here at Spring Lake. An average amount of rainfall falls at Spring Lake; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Little Fork River, and there's nice hiking along the Holstrum Spur Trail. Summertime highs at Spring Lake generally tend to be in the 70's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Spring Lake. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! | |

Spring Lake is excellent! Don't leave Spring Lake without first going for a hike along the Valley River Trail, and a good spot to camp here at Spring Lake is Thistledew Campground.
There are brilliant spots to explore along the Link Lake Trail; Hibbing Park Hotel is a great place to get some rest.

There is plenty to do at the resort too. Swan Lake is known for its water clarity throughout the summer. Fishing is almost always good with a healthy supply of sunfish, crappies, northern and walleyes. Largemouth bass are definitely the most sought after fish the past few years with most of them released again after they are weighed and their picture is taken for our ''fishing report'' board. Our swimming area is safely marked off with no dangerous drop offs. We have plenty of sand for sunbathing and sandcastle building.
When you're not in or on the water you can play volleyball, badminton, ''fun'' frisbee golf, basketball, pitch horseshoes or play bocce ball. All recreational equipment can be checked out at no charge. Our game room is always busy with kids playing pinball or pool. At our convenience store you'll be able to pick up basic groceries, ice cream, pizzas, snacks, ice, fishing licenses, tackle, and night crawlers. We also carry unleaded gas and mot... |
