Camping is available at Whispering Pines Campground; the Giese Truck Trail offers hiking at its best. Throughout the days of summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Split Rock Lake, and during       the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 10's while Split Rock Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the-10's. Why not take a refreshing hike along the East White Pine Truck Trail, and Twentyone Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Split Rock Lake; Herubin Truck Trail is a wonderful local trail; whitewater paddling                  is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Snake River.
