On a nice day at Split Rock Lake you can take a hike along the Herubin Truck Trail, and camping at Whispering Pines Campground is always a magnificent experience. If you need a spot to stay Country Meadows Inn is a good choice, and there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the Giese Truck Trail. The amount of precipitation that falls at Split Rock Lake is close       to the national average; most of the rain falls through June while February is typically the driest month. Near Split Rock Lake you locate the East White Pine Truck Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, and a great location to camp here at Split Rock Lake is Waldheim Resort.
