Go for a hike on the East White Pine Truck Trail, and Split Rock Lake is a tremendous spot to visit for more than one day, Waldheim Resort is a tremendous spot to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There are wonderful locations to discover along the Giese Truck Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Snake River offers some glorious whitewater. The annual rainfall here       at Split Rock Lake is about average; the month with most of the rain is June; February is when it's the driest. Whispering Pines Campground is a nice campground nearby. Through the summer highs here at Split Rock Lake reach the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Split Rock Lake.
