Lakes are good; Richard Lake is a lake that's right next door to Spike Lake. You'll meet a lot of folks from Bemidji here. It is very dried out here at Spike Lake ordinarily; June is when you get the most rain here while February is generally the driest month. Stay the night at Chippewa Loop - Chippewa National Forest, and you're in all probability hooked on lakes, Little Wolf Lake is one of those close       by. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Spike Lake without first going for a hike along the Star Island Trail System; Sandtrap Golf Course is a golf course nearby. Man, is there a load of exciting stuff to do next to Spike Lake. There's so much to do here at Spike Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Onegume - Chippewa National Forest is a good location for that, and if you need a location to stay Chase on the Lake Resort is a delightful choice.                  The Webster Lake Trail System offers hiking at its best, and Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Walker is a fine spot to get some rest. All through the warmest time of the year highs here at Spike Lake reach the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's.
