A typical amount of precipitation falls here at South Sturgeon Lake; most of the rain falls during June; February on the other hand is the driest. So many fun things to do in the Mesabi Range, not sufficient time. On a fine day at South Sturgeon Lake you can take a hike along the Stingy Lake Trail. Hibbing Park Hotel is a perfect spot to get some rest, and there is a wonderful hiking trail close by called the Snake Trail.

camp here for a while, Pine Beach Resort RV Park is a good spot for that, and not far from South Sturgeon Lake you'll discover West Sturgeon Lake which is a striking lake. South Sturgeon Lake is a beautiful lake in the Mesabi Range.

Our paddleboats, kayaks and canoes are free to guests for on-the-water fun too. And for those quiet times we have benches placed around the resort to relax upon.
