Snipe Lake gets a typical amount of rainfall; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here; February on the other hand is the driest. Through the warm months here at Snipe Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 10's, and overnight lows throughout the       wintertime for Snipe Lake tend to be in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Take a little trip to Dawkins Creek while you're here at Snipe Lake, and Snipe Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Gunflint Pines is a magnificent local campground. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Lutsen since you're here, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Snipe Lake; Pine Portage is a nice local trail. You assume that's enough?                  Just getting warmed up. Paddling on Temperance River is so much fun; perfect hiking is available along the Rib Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous place to camp here at Snipe Lake is Baker Lake Campground, and get wet paddling on Poplar River. Caribou Highlands Lodge is a glorious spot to get some rest; why not take a refreshing hike along the Granite River Portage.
