The yearly rain here at Snelling Lake is about average; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Why not stop by nearby Minnehaha Creek if you're here at Snelling Lake, and the view of picturesque Pilot Knob is magnificent.       Any time is a tremendous time at Snelling Lake if you love the outdoors. There's so much to do here at Snelling Lake that you need to camp here for a while, J Robinson Intensive Camps is a nice site for that; great water scenery is available at Snelling Lake Outlet Dam in the vicinity of Snelling Lake. Summertime at Snelling Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the nighttime is quite chillier of course, generally in the 50's. All through the                  wintertime the highs are commonly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Snelling Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Carriage Hills Golf Club not far from Snelling Lake; there are other places here than Snelling Lake, for example Gun Club Lake. Snelling Lake is a location with many visitors from Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington; if you came to camp Lowry Grove is a magnificent site to do that. Hit the slopes at Hyland Ski close at hand, and Mississippi National River & Recreation Area is a tremendous national park.
