A visit to Smith Lake is always a good idea. Stay the night at Hamilton's Fox Lake Campground, and great water scenery is available at Mud River Dam in the neighborhood of Smith Lake. You're sure to run into some great folks from Bemidji here, and you'll find a stunning lake called Chain Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Smith Lake has to offer, you can camp at KOA Kampgrounds; since you're here, you could also stop by picturesque Green Lake. to spend a night or two. For the duration of the warm days of summer highs here at Smith Lake reach the 70's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's while Smith Lake
nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. There is a tremendous hiking trail in close proximity to Smith Lake called the Thorhult Waskish Trail; don't forget to take a delightful little journey to Mud River.
