Throughout the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 10's while Slip Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the-10's. Not far from Slip Lake, you'll come across Christine Lake which is a beautiful lake, and after a long day outdoors Americinn - Tofte, Mn is a pleasant spot to spend a night       or two. So many entertaining things to do here at Slip Lake, too pleasant to be true. Don't leave Slip Lake without first going for a hike along the Rib Lake Trail, and a brilliant site for whitewater paddling is Temperance River. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Crescent Lake Campground, and you can go for a hike on the Honeymoon Trail. There's nice hiking along the Pine Portage. Why not camp at Poplar River Campground if you're here at Slip                  Lake; get your heart pumping on the pleasant whitewater of Poplar River. The yearly rainfall here at Slip Lake is about average; through August this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
