Slip Lake is a lake worth visiting. You can run the rapids of Poplar River close to Slip Lake; a tremendous close by hotel is Caribou Highlands Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail in the vicinity of Slip Lake called the Pine Portage; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Dogtrot Lake. So much cool stuff to do here at Slip Lake, too good to be true. A good place for whitewater paddling next

| | to Slip Lake is Temperance River, and not far from Slip Lake you'll find Bulge Lake which is a pretty lake. Slip Lake gets a normal amount of rain; the month with most of the rain is August, and February on the other hand is the driest. The Rib Lake Trail is a tremendous hiking trail in the vicinity of Slip Lake; after a long day outdoors Americinn - Tofte, Mn is a great site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. take a hike along the Honeymoon Trail, and a good location to camp here at Slip Lake is Poplar River Campground. High temperatures at Slip Lake throughout the summertime months are in the 70's while night lows are ordinarily in the
50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are usually in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Slip Lake are in the-10's. The skiing at Lutsen is great; Slip Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Crescent Lake Campground is a good local campground.
