Hiking along the Echo Trail is pleasant fun, and Slim Lake is not the only location nearby, Keneu Lake is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. Slim Lake is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Silver Rapids Lodge Restaurant is a delightful place to camp nearby, and if you need a location to stay Grand Ely Lodge Resort       and Conference Center is a fine choice. Throughout the months of summer at Slim Lake temperatures are typically in the 70's; the nighttime is quite chillier of course, mostly in the 40's. During the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 10's; nighttime lows all through the winter for Slim Lake tend to be in the-20's. So many fun things to do at Slim Lake, so little time. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Stuart Portage; whitewater paddling is nice                  on Stony River. A magnificent nearby hotel is Budget Host Motel Ely; while you're here, do take a visit to Birch Bay. Slim Lake is right by the Crooked Lake Trail.
