From a rain point of view Simpson Lake is a quite common site; through June this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is February. High temperatures at Simpson Lake during the months of summer are in the 70's. For the duration of the dark       hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Highs through the winter are ordinarily in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Simpson Lake. Biauswah Lake is a good lake close to Simpson Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Cutfoot Sioux National Recreation Trail.
