Through the summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Silver Lake. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Silver Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Country Inn & Suites,       Mankato - Hotel and Conference Center is a good choice; Silver Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Kiesler's Clear Lake Campground is a good local campground. From a rain point of view Silver Lake is a reasonably normal location; most of the rain falls all through June; February on the other hand is the driest. You don’t have to go far from Silver Lake to see the water at Silver Lake Dam.
