This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. Hiking along the Stingy Lake Trail is nice fun, and get your heart beating on the perfect whitewater of Sturgeon River. This lake is located in the wonderful Mesabi Range. There's some flowing water close by, Shannon River is a stream you can stop by while you're here; a nice spot for whitewater paddling is Little Fork River. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors       just come on up to the Mesabi Range. Have a great hiking adventure along the Link Lake Trail. There's so much to do here at Shoepack Lake that you need to camp here for a while, C C Campground 717 is a good location for that. At Shoepack Lake during the months of summer highs are in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 10's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures                  at Shoepack Lake dip into the-10's. Nearby lakes? Sure, Dewey Lake is in close proximity to Shoepack Lake; you can stay the night at Pine Beach Resort RV Park. These mountains rock, just explore all the entertaining things to do in the Mesabi Range. This is a pleasant vicinity for people who like lakes. McCormack Lake is a lake around here; after a long day outdoors Super 8 Hibbing is a nice place to spend a night or two. From a rain point of view Shoepack Lake is a quite typical location; the month with most of the rain is June; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
