Sherry Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Stony Brook Campground is a wonderful local campground, and Hibbing Park Hotel is a delightful spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Snake Trail, and Sherry Lake is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, Thistledew Campground is a magnificent place to camp nearby. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Mesabi Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone

| | but if it's for you then we recommend Sturgeon River, unsurprisingly you could also explore Bower Lake while you're here; it's not far at all.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Mesabi Range. Sherry Lake gets a typical amount of annual rainfall; the wettest month of the year is usually June, that's the one that rains the most while February is regularly the driest month. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Sherry Lake. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Little Fork River, and there are pleasant locations to explore along the Stingy
Lake Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Mesabi Range. After a long day outdoors Hibbing Super 8 Motel is a great place to spend a night or two. For the period of the summer at Sherry Lake highs are frequently in the 70's,
and the night is quite chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 10's; night lows throughout the winter for Sherry Lake tend to be in the-10's.

There is plenty to do at the resort too. Swan Lake is known for its water clarity throughout the summer. Fishing is almost always good with a healthy supply of sunfish, crappies, northern and walleyes. Largemouth bass are definitely the most sought after fish the past few years with most of them released again after they are weighed and their picture is taken for our ''fishing report'' board. Our swimming area is safely marked off with no dangerous drop offs. We have plenty of sand for sunbathing and sandcastle building.
