Yeah, come up here to the Mesabi Range for a wonderful time. Looking for something close to Shannon Lake? Shoepack Lake is close by, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Sturgeon River. Be careful coming to the Mesabi Range, you might not ever want to go back home again. There's so much to do here at Shannon Lake that you need to camp here for a while,       Pine Beach Resort RV Park is a delightful location for that. This lake is so wonderful. Shannon Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, C C Campground 717 is a glorious local campground; dry warm beds await you at Hibbing Park Hotel. From a precipitation point of view Shannon Lake is a rather common location; most of the rain falls throughout June, and February on the other hand is the driest. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors                  amusing stuff the area close to Shannon Lake has to offer. While you're here at Shannon Lake you can take a hike along the Link Lake Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Little Fork River offers some perfect whitewater. Going for a hike along the Stingy Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, of course you could also have a look at Island Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is one of the great places here in the Mesabi Range. High temperatures at Shannon Lake through the summertime are in the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
