Do stop by Shadow Lake while you're in this part of Minnesota. This lake is so wonderful. You're possibly interested in lakes, Reward Lake is one of those close by, and if you came for an overnight stay Gunflint Pines is a good location to camp. Shadow Lake is a good place of typical precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. | | local trail. Lakes are nice; Maraboeuf Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Shadow Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You are close to James Bay while you're here at Shadow Lake, and hey, Granite River is a fine local stream. No need to travel far to stop at interesting stuff like Devils Elbow, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Gneiss Lake Portage.
