For the period of the warm months at Sells Lake highs are frequently in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are generally in the 10's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Sells Lake descend into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Sells Lake is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Hamilton's Fox Lake Campground is a fine place to camp nearby,       and Sells Lake is not the only location nearby, Kinney Lake is a nearby lake. Don't forget to take a perfect little trip to Mud River, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Bemidji Inn is a fine choice. A lake close by is Bond Lake; Super 8 Motel - Bemidji is a great spot to get some rest. It is very dried out here at Sells Lake ordinarily; most of the rain falls all through July; the driest month of the year is February. Don't leave Sells Lake                  without first going for a hike along the Thorhult Waskish Trail; during your trip here you'll meet some folks from Bemidji for sure.
