Lakes are wonderful; First Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Second Lake, and Cozy Camping is a brilliant campground nearby. If you're a golfer then a good nearby course is Fosston Golf Club. Second Lake is a location that is reasonably arid frequently; June is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. Super 8 Fosston is a great spot to get some rest; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always

This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Country Inn By Carlson Detroit Lakes is a pleasant location to spend a night or two; Island Lake Resort is a tremendous local campground. Summertime highs at Second Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 10's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Second Lake. | |

Union Lake Campground is a nice place, but does not cater to the weekend camper. Unless you have a boat, there is nothing to do except sit around the fire and drink. The seasonal campers are friendly and welcome company for a chat. The bath house has been updated and is better, but there is a charge for showering, (...) The managers are fairly strict, (...) - and you can't blame them! Book well ahead of time if you want a weekend spot!!!!...Union Lake Sarah campground is nice and clean and quiet.It could use more weekend electrical sites. Mgr Joel is adorable, but his wife Char could use some fine tuning in the PR area. They both need to quit smoking for their own good.The seasonal campers are most friendly and helpful. We will certainly be back!!!... |
