A visit to Second Lake is always a good idea. Wild Mountain has perfect slopes and a friendly staff, and after a long day outdoors Lakeview Motel is a good location to spend a night or two. All through the summer at Second Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Second Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Trollhaugen

| | is a very popular ski area in the vicinity, and you'll come across a wonderful lake called Bone Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Center City Marina & Lodge is a glorious choice; dropping by Saint Croix National Scenic River is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Bay Resort is a great site for that. The amount of rain that falls at Second Lake is close to the national average; most of the rain falls throughout June while February is typically the driest month.
You feel that's enough? Just
getting warmed up. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on St. Croix River, and if you're here and you like golf, you can stop at Chisago Lakes Golf Course. This lake is
so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Sunrise Ferry Hiking Trail. Whitewater paddling is great on Apple River, and Second Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Blue waters Leisure Park is a great local campground.
