Many people like to go to Seasted Lake. Get your pulse rate up on the nice whitewater of Cloquet River, and Elliott Lake is a delightful lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. From a rainfall point of view Seasted Lake is a rather common spot; June is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest.
Lakes are such calm locations, why not check out Moilan Lake near Seasted Lake, and Budget Host Virginia is a nice place to get some

| | rest. Camping is available at Ico Campground, and a day on the slopes of Spirit Mountain is just what you need. Summer at Seasted Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 10's; nighttime lows at Seasted Lake throughout the winter typically dip into the-10's.

everybody but if it's for you then we recommend St. Louis River, and why not head up to Giants Ridge and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a nice little tour to Paleface Creek, and why not
camp at Gilbert Sherwood Forest while you're here at Seasted Lake. A nice close by hotel is Eveleth Super 8 Motel; the smiling people of Duluth like to hang out close by.

The river is at least 100 miles long. I've paddled from Katherine Lake to the St. Louis River and there is plenty of river to paddle besides the section from US 53 to US 2. The top section, from Katherine Lake to Lake Co #2 is an especially wild ride, and I've only done it once, but the drop is incredible, sometimes like a logging flume.... |
