Dry warm beds await you at Caribou Highlands Lodge, and there are good locations to look at along the Rib Lake Trail. Go for a hike on the Pine Portage; going for a hike on the Honeymoon Trail is always a magnificent adventure. Summer at Screech Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Screech Lake       are in the-10's. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Lutsen, and if you need a place to stay Americinn - Tofte, Mn is a wonderful choice. Any time is a wonderful time at Screech Lake if you adore the outdoors. Looking for some flowing water? Try Missouri Creek; Screech Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Poplar River Campground is a good site to camp nearby. Lakes? Sure, Pancore Lake is around here, and if you don't mind                  getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Temperance River. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Screech Lake, you'll come across Anderson Lake which is a lovely lake, and Baker Lake Campground is a good campground nearby. From a precipitation point of view Screech Lake is a rather normal location; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest.
