At School Lake during the summer highs are in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 10's while the cold winter nights at School Lake are in the-10's. Mattlia Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to, and C J's Corral is a fine local       campground. School Lake is a tremendous location to visit for more than one day, Savanna Portage State Park is a tremendous location to camp nearby, and there are great locations to discover along the Herubin Truck Trail. A normal amount of rain falls here at School Lake; the month with most of the rain is June while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up on the wonderful whitewater of                  Kettle River; you can go for a hike on the Giese Truck Trail. There's just no way someone can get bored here at School Lake.
