This is a popular spot for people from Duluth, and skiing at Spirit Mountain is one of those things you just must do. It is very dried up here at Schisler Lake typically; through June this area sees the most rain; February is when it's the driest. At Schisler Lake during the summer highs are in the 70's; the nighttime is slightly cooler of course, usually in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the       wintertime are in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Schisler Lake. If you come at the right time of year, St. Louis River offers some good whitewater, and if you came for an overnight stay Ico Campground is a wonderful site to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Cloquet River, and after a long day outdoors Eveleth Super 8 Motel is a magnificent place to spend                  a night or two. So many amusing things to do here at Schisler Lake, too wonderful to be true. Cloquet River Inn is a good campground here.
