This lake is so wonderful. St. Louis River has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby; why not camp at Ico Campground while you're here at Schisler Lake. Schisler Lake is a location that is reasonably dried up generally; most of the rain falls during June while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. For the period of the long       summer days at Schisler Lake highs are commonly in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are commonly in the 10's, and overnight lows during the winter for Schisler Lake tend to be in the-10's. Paddling on Cloquet River is so much fun, and a great close by hotel is Super 8 Eveleth. That right there is a lot already, but it keeps on going; Schisler Lake has it all. The snow is great at Spirit                  Mountain; lots of people from Duluth come here.
