This lake is so wonderful. Temperance River is a pleasant whitewater spot in the vicinity of Sawbill Lake; nearby you find the Pine Portage which is a good hiking trail. Summer at Sawbill Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 10's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Sawbill Lake sink       into the-10's. Lutsen is a very popular ski area close by, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Java Creek. This spot is so good, just check out all the entertaining stuff to do close to Sawbill Lake. A great place for whitewater paddling close to Sawbill Lake is Temperance River, and after a long day outdoors Americinn - Tofte, Mn is a magnificent location to spend a night or two. Camping is available at Baker Lake Campground; there is a great                  hiking trail nearby called the Rib Lake Trail. If you need a place to stay Caribou Highlands Lodge is a pleasant choice, and a beautiful lake like Smoke Lake is a great place to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Sawbill Campground is always a magnificent experience. Sawbill Lake is a good spot of common rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest.
