Sawbill Lake gets a normal amount of yearly rain; most of the rain falls during August; February meanwhile is the driest month. What would winter be without some skiing at Lutsen, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Pine Portage. This lake is so wonderful. You'll come across a pretty lake called Smoke Lake near       Sawbill Lake. There's so much to do here at Sawbill Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sawbill Campground is a good place for that; hiking is a popular thing to do around Sawbill Lake; Rib Lake Trail is a brilliant local trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Java Creek is a stream you can have a look at while here; wonderful hiking is available along the Honeymoon Trail. Get soaked paddling on Temperance River, and after                  a long day outdoors Eagle Ridge Resort at Lutsen Mountains is a good spot to spend a night or two. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Sawbill Lake. Float down the rapids of Temperance River in a kayak, and dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Tofte, Mn. For the duration of the summertime months at Sawbill Lake highs are mostly in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's.
