Having a perfect time at Sandy Lake is easy. A wonderful spot to camp here at Sandy Lake is Pfeifer Lake Campground, and paddling on Little Fork River is so much fun. That right there is heaps of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Mesabi Range has it all. A glorious close by hotel is Americinn - Mt Iron, Mn, and drift down the rapids of Vermilion River in a kayak. This lake is one of the great places here in the Mesabi       Range. Throughout the summer here at Sandy Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 10's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Sandy Lake drop into the-10's. Sandy Lake is a location that is rather arid mostly; the wettest month of the year is commonly June, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February.                  You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Mesabi Range.
