This is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Midway Motel is a good campground nearby, and Sandy Lake is right by the Taconite Trail. Having a tremendous time in the Mesabi Range is easy. You can never get enough of the good skiing at Giants Ridge, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites MOUNTAIN IRON (VIRGINIA) is a tremendous place to get some rest. Sandy Lake is pretty waterless commonly; all through June       this area sees the most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. Throughout the warm months, highs frequently are in the 70's at Sandy Lake while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 10's, and overnight lows at Sandy Lake during the winter frequently dip into the-10's.
