Super 8 Motel - Ely is a good site to get some rest, and Alruss Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. While you're here at Sandpit Lake, you could also have a look at pretty Range Lake, and Stony River is a wonderful whitewater spot close by. Good hiking is available along the Kelly Trail. Range River is a glorious spot to pop by; Gateway North       Outfitters is a tremendous campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Budget Host Motel Ely, and you can go for a hike on the Stuart Portage. If you came for an overnight stay Canoe Country Outfitters is a tremendous location to camp, and going for a hike on the Crooked Lake Trail is always a glorious adventure. Sandpit Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; during the month of June you get the most rain around here, and February                  on the other hand is the driest. Summertime highs at Sandpit Lake commonly tend to be in the 70's, and the nighttime is rather cooler of course, generally in the 50's.
