Lakes are such peaceful places, why not check out Hay Lake near Sand Lake, and do take a hike on the Sunrise Ferry Hiking Trail. A common amount of rainfall falls here at Sand Lake; June is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you need a site to       stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites STILLWATER is a great choice; whitewater paddling is magnificent on St. Croix River. Saint Croix National Scenic River is a great site near Sand Lake, and in the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Apple River. High temperatures at Sand Lake during the summertime are in the 80's; the overnight is a little colder of course, ordinarily in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime                  come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Sand Lake drop into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Value Inn; pretty scenery and good skiing is what you obtain at Wild Mountain. Now, you may think that's a heap but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Sand Lake. Camping is available at Whispering Bay Resort, and you'll find a charming lake called Long Lake.
