Sand Lake gets a typical amount of rain; June is the wettest month with most rain while February is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Ferry Hiking Trail. Lakes? Sure, Lake Alice is close by, and the snow is good at Wild Mountain. There are some fine whitewater spots on Apple River, and Sand Lake is a magnificent spot to visit for more than one day, Whispering Bay Resort is a magnificent spot to camp nearby.
