A nice place to camp here at Sand Lake is Golden Acres, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Trollhaugen while you're here. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not check out Hay Lake near Sand Lake, and do take a hike on the Sunrise Ferry Hiking Trail. Saint Croix National Scenic River is a great site near Sand Lake, and in the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Apple River. come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Sand Lake drop into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Value Inn; pretty scenery and good skiing
is what you obtain at Wild Mountain. Now, you may think that's a heap but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Sand Lake. Camping is available at Whispering Bay Resort, and you'll find a charming lake called Long Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
