This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Little Fork River next to Sand Lake, and the Taconite Trail offers hiking at its best. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is plentiful here in the Mesabi Range. The warmest time of the year at Sand Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's.
