Dinner Creek is a tremendous local stream, and don't leave Sand Lake without first going for a hike along the Turtle Mound Trail. A tremendous nearby hotel is Trappers Landing Lodge. There's great hiking along the Simpson Creek Trail System. There's so much to do here at Sand Lake that you need to camp here for a while, O-NE-Gum-Me Campground is a tremendous place for that. The warmest time of the year at Sand Lake       comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the overnight is fairly cooler of course, generally in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Sand Lake. From a precipitation point of view Sand Lake is a relatively normal site; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain while February is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
