Little Wolf Lake Wildlife Impondment Dam is not far at all from Sand Lake; get yourself into a kayak and hit Big Fork. The warmest time of the year at Sand Lake arrives       with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's with winter lows in the-20's overnight here at Sand Lake. An average amount of rainfall falls at Sand Lake; most of the rain falls through July, and the driest month of the year is February. This location, the Mesabi Range, has so much outdoors cool things.
