This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at North Star Campground, and if you need a location to stay Budget Host Inn Grand Rapids is a nice choice. This lake is located in the wonderful Mesabi Range. For the duration of the summer months, highs mostly are in the 70's at Sand Lake with night lows in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Sand Lake are in the-20's.       Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Mesabi Range. If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Fork, and a lovely lake like Wabana Lake is a glorious location to stop by. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place!
