Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Inn; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Afton Alps is quite near. There are some nice whitewater spots on Apple River; close by Catfish Bar is a great location to go. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Lake Saint Croix. Hudson Country Club is a perfect golf course close by, and on a wonderful       day it's a wonderful idea to spend the day at Browns Beach. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Vermilion River. There's so much to do here at Lake Saint Croix that you need to camp here for a while, Willow River State Park is a delightful site for that. Summertime highs at Lake Saint Croix regularly tend to be in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; after                  the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Lake Saint Croix descend into the 0's. Lake Saint Croix is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Woodbury Koa Kampground is a pleasant local campground; if you need a site to stay Comfort Inn Hudson is a great choice. The skiing at Welch Village is pleasant.
