    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Rum Lake. After a long day outdoors Country Inn By Carlson Grand Rapids is a great place to spend a night or two, and get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater of Big Fork. So many enjoyable things to do at Rum Lake, so little time. Have a great hiking adventure along the Wilson Lake Trail. This is a fine region for people who like lakes. Crum Lake is a lake in close proximity, and why not camp at Thistledew  
   Campground if you're here at Rum Lake.
The amount of rain that falls at Rum Lake is close to the national average; through June this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Hiking along the Holstrum Spur Trail is tremendous fun; if you came for an overnight stay Stony Brook Campground is a great place to camp. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Rum Lake, and the overnight is somewhat colder of course, generally
 
               in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 10's, and night lows in the-20's for Rum Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. You're possibly addicted to lakes, Mead Lake is one of those nearby, and do take a hike on the Valley River Trail.
