A nice close by hotel is Americinn - Tofte, Mn, and you can stay the night at Ninemile Campground. Ruffy Lake is a good site of common precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually June, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. Throughout the warm months here at Ruffy Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it       drops down to the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 10's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Ruffy Lake temperatures dip to the-10's. Lakes are such calm places, why not go to Dogwood Lake next to Ruffy Lake; after a long day outdoors Caribou Highlands Lodge is a delightful place to spend a night or two. Sugar Loaf Cove is close to Ruffy Lake and is a wonderful location to go to, and float down the rapids of Cross River                  in a kayak. Yeah, come here to Ruffy Lake for a delightful time. Dyers Lake is a glorious lake right next door to Ruffy Lake, and get drenched paddling on Two Island River. This lake is so wonderful.
