This lake is so wonderful. Sawbill Campground is a great campground nearby, and going for a hike on the Granite River Portage is always a delightful adventure. Through the summer at Round Lake highs are generally in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. For the period of the       winter the highs are usually in the 10's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Round Lake plunge into the-10's. Mavis Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out, and close by you stumble on the Rib Lake Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. The Pine Portage is a glorious hiking trail in the vicinity of Round Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Eagle Ridge Resort at Lutsen Mountains is a great choice. The annual precipitation                  here at Round Lake is about average; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area close to Round Lake has to offer.
