Camping at Gunflint Pines is always a good experience, and there are fine places to look at along the Granite River Portage. Summertime highs at Round Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Round Lake       are in the-10's. You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Skiing at Lutsen is one of those things you just have to do. This is a great area for folks who like lakes. Mavis Lake is a lake close at hand, and going for a hike on the Rib Lake Trail is always a great adventure. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Missing Link Lake, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Temperance River. Camping is available                  at Sawbill Campground, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Pine Portage.
