From a rain point of view Rock Lake is a reasonably common place; during June this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Having a nice time in the Mesabi Range is trouble-free. There are some great whitewater spots on Little Fork River. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the Mesabi Range has to offer. Summer at Rock Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. a nice hiking trail nearby. So much amusing stuff to do here at Rock Lake, too good to be true. Camping at C C Campground 717 is always a pleasant experience; you'll come across a wonderful lake called Rat Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Mesabi Range.

We're only 6 miles from Fergus Falls. As the largest city in west-central MN (population 13,000) it offers plenty of restaurants, shopping, a very fine historical museum, a Prairie Wetlands Learning Center and more. Pebble Lake Golf Course, a challenging 18 hole course, is 5 miles away.
