Stay the night at Prairie Island Campground; a fine nearby hotel is Americinn - Winona, Mn. Rileys Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Take a little visit to Gilmore Creek while you're here at Rileys Lake. The yearly rainfall here at Rileys Lake is about average; throughout July this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Swamps don’t sound that       nice but Crooked Slough close to Rileys Lake is reasonably nice, of course you could also go to Lake Winona since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Gilmore Valley is near Rileys Lake and is without doubt a fine place to visit, and lots of folks from Winona come here. Through the summer at Rileys Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come                  with highs in the 20's; night lows at Rileys Lake during the wintertime generally sink into the 0's.
