Fisher Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out; at Rice Lake you always meet someone from Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington. Throughout the summer months highs here at Rice Lake get into the 80's, and the night is a bit chillier of course, generally in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Rice Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter       nights. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Hyland Ski and strap some skis to your feet, and if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Savage is a good choice. Rice Lake is a good spot of typical rain; June is the month that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. A day on the slopes of Buck Hill is just what you need, and if you get bored of Rice Lake you could also go to nearby Hyland Lake. Put some                  time aside to spend at Boiling Springs while you're here at Rice Lake, and a great place to camp here at Rice Lake is Town and Country Campground.
