If you came for an overnight stay Gunflint Pines is a splendid location to camp, and a wonderful location for whitewater paddling is Poplar River. High temperatures at Rib Lake throughout the warm months are in the 70's, and the nighttime is rather colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 10's with temperatures at       Rib Lake dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Rib Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Caribou Highlands Lodge; Lutsen is a great local ski area. Rib Lake gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout August, and February meanwhile is the driest month. The Granite River Portage is a great hiking trail in the vicinity of Rib Lake, and Baker Lake Campground                  is a nice campground nearby. While you're here at Rib Lake you can take a hike along the Rib Lake Trail, and get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Temperance River. You'll come across a striking lake called Fawn Lake near Rib Lake; if you need a spot to stay Americinn - Tofte, Mn is a nice choice. This lake is so wonderful. It's a pleasant idea to pop by Dawkins Creek, it's next to Rib Lake.
