If you are traveling by, why not stop by Red Lake. Camping at Stony Brook Campground is always a glorious experience. Red Lake is right by the Wilson Lake Trail, and Red Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Thistledew Campground is a wonderful local campground. This lake is so wonderful. The Valley River Trail offers hiking at its best, and not far from Red Lake you'll hit upon Thistledew Lake which is a pretty lake. All through the days of

| | summer, highs usually are in the 70's at Red Lake. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Red Lake are in the-20's. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Holstrum Spur Trail; dry warm beds await you at Country Inn By Carlson Grand Rapids. The yearly rain here at Red Lake is about average; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest.
