Don't leave Rat Lake without first going for a hike along the Sunrise Ferry Hiking Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Rat Lake has to offer, you can camp at Rushmore Campgrounds. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Budget Host Inn-Stes N. Branch; a       beautiful lake like Fish Lake is a good spot to go to. Near Rat Lake you come across a golf course called North Branch Golf Course, and Chain Lake is a delightful lake close by. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Rat Lake, and the overnight is a little cooler of course, typically in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are regularly in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Rat Lake.
