For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs frequently are in the 70's at Range Lake. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are regularly in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Range Lake. This lake is so wonderful. On a nice day at Range Lake you can take a hike along the Crooked Lake Trail, and if you need a spot to stay Budget Host Motel Ely is       a glorious choice. Stony River is a perfect whitewater spot near Range Lake; the Stuart Portage is a fine hiking trail nearby. Range Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is June, and February is the month with the least moisture. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Range Lake has to offer, you can camp at Canoe Country Outfitters, and there's some flowing                  water nearby, Range River is a stream you can stop at while you're here. The view of White Hills from Range Lake is lovely, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Ely. There is a tremendous hiking trail close to Range Lake called the Kelly Trail; Sandpit Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit. A lake close by is Alruss Lake. There's so much to do here at Range Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Gateway North Outfitters is a glorious place for that.
