The beauty of Rainbow Lake is reason enough to stop by. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Big Fork, and Rainbow Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Jko Campground is a glorious local campground. If you came to camp Thistledew Campground is a good location to do that; do check out Kelly Lake, it's a scenic lake. Summertime highs at Rainbow Lake typically tend to be in the 70's, and the overnight is a little chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's, and overnight lows in the-20's for Rainbow Lake.
