You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Mesabi Range has to offer. Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Link Lake Trail. Camping is available at Thistledew Campground, and if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Snake Trail. Prairie Lake is a good place of common precipitation; the month with most of the rain is June, and February is the month with the least moisture.

| | Prairie Lake highs are frequently in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 10's; nighttime lows in the-10's for Prairie Lake. The Mesabi Range scenery is always beautiful. Not far from Prairie Lake, you'll find O' Learty Lake which is a pretty lake; a tremendous location to camp here at Prairie Lake is Stony Brook Campground.

The Mesabi Range rules! A pleasant location for whitewater paddling close to Prairie Lake is Sturgeon River; if you're here you can take a hike along the Stingy Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Little Fork River is a good whitewater
spot in the neighborhood of Prairie Lake, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Hibbing is a magnificent place to spend a night or two. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the area in the neighborhood of
Prairie Lake has to offer. Hibbing Park Hotel is a nice place to get some rest. Lakes? Sure, Sherry Lake is in the neighborhood.

It's amenities such as microwaves, good beds, reading lamps, TV/DVD's, lots of soft, hot water and decks or porches overlooking the lake that make cabins memorable. We're only 6 miles from Fergus Falls. As the largest city in west-central MN (population 13,000) it offers plenty of restaurants, shopping, a very fine historical museum, a Prairie Wetlands Learning Center and more. Pebble Lake Golf Course, a challenging 18 hole course, is 5 miles away.
