The warmest time of the year at Porcupine Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Go for a hike on the Giese Truck Trail; if you need a place to stay Americinn - Mora, Mn is a nice choice. Whitewater       paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Snake River; camping at Pete's Retreat Family Campground is always a tremendous experience. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Porcupine Lake without first going for a hike along the Herubin Truck Trail, and Porcupine Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Big K Campground is a great local campground. Going for a hike on the East White Pine Truck Trail is always a pleasant                  adventure.
