The beauty of Pool 1 attracts many people from all around. Lock And Dam Number One is worth stopping at since you're here; don't miss out on a trip to Mississippi National River & Recreation Area while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Pool 1, you'll discover Snelling Lake which is a scenic lake, and do put some time aside to spend at Minnehaha Falls if you're here at Pool 1. Pool 1 is a good place of typical rainfall; through June this area

| | sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Summertime highs at Pool 1 frequently tend to be in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Pool 1. If you love the outdoors, you'll like Pool 1. If you're here at Pool 1 and you like golf, you can stop by Hiawatha Golf Course, and lots of folks from Minneapolis-St. | |

Paul-Bloomington come here. Hyland Ski has good slopes and a friendly staff; while you're here, you could have a look at Minnehaha Creek. Why not camp at J Robinson Intensive Camps since you're here at Pool 1; there's no such
thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Buck Hill. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Hilton Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport is a fine choice; if you came for an overnight stay Lowry Grove is a good place to camp.
Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Midway - Minneapolis/St. Paul, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Snelling Lake.
