Pioneer Tailings Basin is a good location of typical precipitation; the month with most of the rain is June, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Boulder Bay is close by and always great to explore, and Pioneer Tailings Basin is a good location to visit for more than one day, Gateway North Outfitters is a good location to camp nearby. Don't leave       Pioneer Tailings Basin without first going for a hike along the Stuart Portage; a round of golf at nearby Ely Golf Club is a fine way to kill some time. Man, is there a load of entertaining stuff to do near Pioneer Tailings Basin. Why not stop by Pioneer Tailings Dike if you're here, and you're possibly hooked on lakes, Pioneer Clarification Basin is one of those nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
