For the duration of the months of summer highs here at Pike Lake get into the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are commonly in the 10's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Pike Lake descend into the-10's. Devil Lake Campground is a glorious campground nearby, and the Honeymoon Trail is a glorious hiking trail close by. After a long day outdoors       Caribou Highlands Lodge is a great place to spend a night or two; on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the North Shore State Trail. Cascade River Campground is a good local campground; close by you find the Height of Land Portage which is a glorious hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Grand Marais, and drift down the rapids of Cascade River in a kayak. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a glorious time                  here at Pike Lake. Lutsen has great slopes and a friendly staff.
