Going for a hike on the Cutfoot Sioux National Recreation Trail is always a splendid adventure, and after a long day outdoors Trappers Landing Lodge is a perfect location to spend a night or two. Pigeon Dam Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and Pigeon Dam Lake is not far at all from Pigeon River Impoundment. An average amount of precipitation falls at Pigeon River Impoundment; June       is the wettest month with most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Why not have a look at Mallard Bay also while you're here, and wonderful hiking is available along the South Highbanks Trail System. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Pigeon River Impoundment that you need to camp here for a while, Middle Pigeon River Campground is a nice spot for that,                  and a lake close by is Simpson Lake. Pigeon River Impoundment is nice enough to spend more than a day at, West Seelye Campground is a nice local campground. Through the warm days of summer here at Pigeon River Impoundment, high temperatures commonly reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Pigeon River Impoundment.
