A great close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Ely; naturally, this is a delightful vicinity for folks who like lakes, Grassy Lake is a lake nearby. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Picket Lake has to offer, you can camp at Gateway North Outfitters, and Stony River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Canoe Country Outfitters,       and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Stuart Portage.
