Summer at Picket Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 10's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Picket Lake plunge into the-10's. Grassy Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit; if you need a spot to stay Grand Ely Lodge Resort and Conference Center       is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stony River. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Picket Lake has to offer, you can camp at Canoe Country Outfitters. If the weather is good here at Picket Lake, you can go for a hike along the Kelly Trail. There's so much to do here at Picket Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Gateway North                  Outfitters is a good site for that.
