An average amount of precipitation falls at Pewee Lake; during the month of August you get the most rain around here; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp East Bearskin Campground is a good spot to do that, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Cascade River. Hiking       is a popular thing to do around Pewee Lake; Height of Land Portage is a good local trail; get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Devil Track River. East Bay Suites is a perfect place to get some rest, and if you need a site to stay Super 8 Grand Marais is a pleasant choice. At Pewee Lake during the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 10's, and throughout the                  dark hours in the wintertime at Pewee Lake temperatures plunge to the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Pewee Lake, you'll find Leo Lake which is a wonderful lake, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Lutsen since you're here. Now, you may think that's heaps but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Pewee Lake. Don't leave Pewee Lake without first going for a hike along the South Lake Portage.
